Terbinafine 1% cream is an antifungal treatment that works by preventing the growth of fungus. This medication treats various fungal infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot, or even nail infections.  The remedy comes as tablets, cream, gel, or spray.  You can easily apply the cream on clean toenails or fingernails to clear the itchy infection. Brand name for terbinafine cream is Lamisil. The remedy clears nail infections within three months of consistent use.

How Does Terbinafine Work?

Terbinafine contains the active ingredient Terbinafine hydrochloride. It works by killing the fungus that causes infection. Terbinafine makes holes in the cell membrane of the fungus, causing the contents to leak out.  When the chemicals causing the infections fall out, the fungus is destroyed, treating the infection. If you are taking Terbinafine to prevent infection, the medicine kills any fungus as it starts to appear.

Directions for Use

  • Wash your hands and the infected area to remove any funny smell thoroughly before using the cream.
  • Dry the area, especially between feet.
  • Unscrew the cap.
  • Squeeze out a small amount of the cream onto your finger and apply a thin layer. 
  • Gently rub it into the infected areas. 
  • Replace the cap.
  • Wash your hands.

Terbinafine Nail Lacquer contains the active ingredient Terbinafine hydrochloride 1% It also contains inactive ingredients: Sodium hydroxide, benzyl alcohol, sorbitan monostearate, cetyl palmitate, cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, isopropyl myristate, demineralized water.
