Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are designed to correct reduced facial volume and moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. The main ingredient is a natural substance known as hyaluronic acid which adds volume to the cheeks, lips and other areas of the face.

The key with dermal filler is to have it administered by an experienced medical professional, as each patient’s needs are different and should be discussed in a consultation to ensure that a personalised treatment plan is administered to achieve your cosmetic goals; maintaining youthful and natural-looking results.

Benefits:

– Restoration/maintenance of a youthful appearance
– Natural look
– Minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure
– No post-treatment recovery period.
– Performed only by our extensively trained Clinical Cosmetic Pharmacists.
– Dermal fillers have been used safely for over 20 years

Which areas can be treated?

Lips (Plumping):

Dermal fillers can be used to restore volume to lips that are naturally lost through ageing. The appropriate filler is used to develop a softer, more luscious and naturally full appearance of the lips. Specific needs can be discussed in your consultation so that the treatment is tailored to you.

Fine lines and wrinkles (Softening):

Vertical lines around the mouth and fine lines and wrinkles near the nose can be smoothed out with dermal fillers. Wrinkles can show up in the form of smile lines, smoker lines and other unflattering creases. By offering a unique gel technology, we can fill out these areas whilst simultaneously hydrating and softening the skin.

Cheeks (Volumising):

Facial fat in areas such as the cheeks is a key characteristic of a youthful face. Men and woman can develop a haggard appearance when a loss of this facial volume continues to develop as we age. Dermal fillers can be injected underneath facial tissue to lift sagging skin and restore volume in the cheekbone area.

Are dermal fillers for me?

At Evermore, our focus is to maintain natural youthful appearances, without exaggerating features. Through a consultation with one of our medical professionals, we will discuss the best option for you to ensure that a truly natural look is achieved.

During your consultation, your medical clinician will discuss your concerns and examine your facial anatomy to establish the best treatment plan for you. If dermal fillers appear to be the optimal treatment for your needs, the injection site and the appropriate amount of filler will be precisely determined.

We may also discuss using an alternative treatment, such as anti wrinkle injections, if it is discovered that injectable fillers would not produce the amount correction that you desire.

Receiving Dermal Filler Injections:

After assessing your facial structure, your clinician will strategically inject a syringe of dermal filler into the problem areas. The filler already contains lidocaine which reduces the pain and improves the comfort during the injection, however we can also administer numbing cream to the area prior to administration to make you more comfortable.

Dermal fillers can be completed in minutes and offer zero downtime.

After treatment:

Immediately after: Dermal fillers have zero downtime. Everyday activities can continue immediately. However, patients should avoid activities that may irritate the treated area, such as rubbing or scratching. There is no need to massage the area after treatment as your clinician will have already done this and left the filler in the correct location to settle. Manageable dermal filler side effects may include brushing, irritation and inflammation.

3-7 days: Any bruising will subside and the dermal filler will begin to settle, with results becoming slightly visible.

10-14 days: The results from your dermal filler treatment will be fully visible. Volumistation and youthful, smooth skin will have completely developed in your target areas.

FAQ

Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a compound of bio molecules which are found naturally in the body. When injected, hyaluronic acid provides instant hydration to the skin where it is injected and increases the volume. Whether it is used to plump the lips, or fill wrinkles, many find the hyaluronic acid in dermal fillers ideal to solve their needs compared to other solutions such as collagen supplements.

The amount of filler required and the areas treated can change the cost of dermal filler injections. Filler treatments will vary in cost from patient to patient. We will ensure that you understand all price options available for dermal filler injections and alternative injections before undergoing treatment. This will be assessed at your consultation, as the amount of areas treated will determine how much filler is used.

Good candidates for dermal filler injections are men and women over the age of 21 and in good health. Patients should avoid dermal fillers if they have underlying health conditions that could cause complications throughout the treatment process. Anyone who is suffering from thin lips, wrinkles, sunken cheek bones and volume loss anywhere in the face are also good candidates for dermal fillers.

After a detailed examination of your face and discussion about your goals, your clinician will recommend the best injectable or non-surgical treatment for your needs. For example, some patients with deep horizontal lines in the brow region may want to consider Botox injections, others will benefit more from fillers. Each brand on the market contains the same hyaluronic acid, with some special formulations for specific areas of the face. This will all be discussed at the initial consultation.

Dermal fillers are safe when administered by an experienced cosmetic specialist, especially with medical training. Dermal filler products are not prescription injectables in the United Kingdom, meaning that they are available without a prescriber and can be more widely administered. At Evermore, we only have medical professionals administering dermal fillers to ensure that the same health consultations can happen that would occur with any usual prescription product, and to ensure that the most suitable, safest treatment can be optimised for you. The compounds in dermal fillers have been used medically for years and have a long record of safe use.

Dermal fillers can last from 6 months to one year and offer patients some of the longest-lasting results from cosmetic injectables. Some patients will require more than one treatment a year to maintain results, others may find that a single treatment is sufficient. You will quickly become aware of your own needs and we can help you plan your treatment schedule accordingly.

Dermal fillers are applied via an extremely thin needle that dose not cause scarring. The needles we use are referred to as ‘invisible’ as they are so small, so any bruising following treatment will be short lived.

Dermal fillers are effective as standalone solutions for improving your appearance, but combining fillers and other treatments can provide a complete transformation.

Some of the possible treatment combinations include:

Anti Wrinkle Injections
Micro needling
PRP Treatment
Skin Peels
Profhilo for Face and Body
