Anti Wrinkle Injections

Millions of patients undergo cosmetic treatments every year to minimise facial wrinkles and reduce the effects of ageing, giving a more youthful appearance. This prescription facial injectable can reduce facial wrinkles in the forehead, brow, eye areas, lips, neck and more.

At Evermore, we provide this service for people who want to maintain their youthful appearance or desire facial rejuvenation. Every patient receives a customised treatment following their consultation, leading to a personalised, youthful and natural-looking appearance.

We provide anti-wrinkle injections to aid in the reduction of wrinkles formed by the muscles of facial expression. Anti-wrinkle injections are composed of a commercially prepared toxin known as botulinum toxin. When injected into the muscle this causes a block in the nerve activity, providing a temporary reduction in muscle movement and a reduction in creases formed by the overlying skin.

Using this special injection technique we can target specific muscle groups in the face which may be causing excess lines, wrinkles and creases. The effect is temporary, lasting roughly 3-4 months with the treatment requiring repetition to maintain the effect. The frown, forehead, and around the eyes are the most commonly treated areas. The treatment aims to relax facial muscles and expression to improve the aesthetics of the face. Below are some of the benefits of our Anti Wrinkle Injections in Chester.

Benefits:

– Maintenance of a youthful appearance
– Skin rejuvenation
– Natural look
– Minimally invasive, non-surgical procedure
– No post-treatment recovery period.
– Performed only by our extensively trained Clinical Cosmetic Pharmacists.
– Botulinum toxin has a proven safety record of over 25 years

Which areas can be treated?

Forehead Lines – Lines and wrinkles that appear on the forehead can give you a harsh, aged appearance. In some individuals, these lines can appear at a very young age. Patients who have deep forehead lines may look perpetually tired and older than they feel. Anti-wrinkle injections can treat unwanted lines and wrinkles on the forehead and give you a softer, more youthful appearance.

Frown Lines – Frown lines are vertical wrinkles that appear between the brows caused by frequent muscle contraction of the brows. Anti-wrinkle injections can smooth out this area so that the face appears softer, more relaxed, and more approachable.

Crow’s Feet (Smile Lines) – Crow’s feet, also called smile lines, are small wrinkles that appear at the outer corners of the eyes. These are often among the first signs of facial ageing. Anti-wrinkle injections can minimise ageing by eliminating these lines so that the eyes become more a more youthful and attractive focal point on the face.

Neck Muscle Bands – Neck muscle bands are another sign of ageing. The appearance of the neck plays a critical role in the way that others perceive you and your age. We use Anti-wrinkle injections to minimise the appearance of neck muscle bands so that the neck appears smoother and more youthful.

Other areas – In your consultation, we will discuss other areas that can be treated in addition or instead of the above. These areas include:

Depressor Anguilla Oris (DAO) – This is the muscle that pulls the corners of the mouth downwards when you frown.
Bunny Lines – These are the wrinkles and fine lines that appear diagonally on both sides of your nose.
Marionette Lines – These are the wrinkles that extend from the corners of your mouth to your chin.
Pebbled Chin – Pebble like indentations of the skin caused by ageing and excess muscle extension of the chin.

Consultation:

During your consultation, we will evaluate your goals and your facial anatomy to determine the best treatment plan for you. If anti-wrinkle injections is the best treatment for your needs, we will determine where and how the product should be injected in order minimise your wrinkles and obtain natural results.

Some patients may benefit from a combination of dermal fillers as well as, or instead, of anti-wrinkle injections. But this will all be discussed at the consultation so that we can ensure you have the best result possible for your face.

Receiving anti-wrinkle injections:

Your clinician will inject into the desired area(s). Pain is minimal, but a topical anaesthetic can be used to numb the area beforehand if desired. The treatment lasts only 10-15 minutes and has no downtime. Results typically last 4-6 months depending on the individual.

After treatment:

Immediately after: No downtime. Patients can resume normal activities right away but should avoid rubbing the treated area, exercise and lying down for a few hours. Some bruising, pain or inflammation may occur as side effects.

3-5 days: Results will begin to be noticeable.

7-10 days: The maximum effect of your Anti-wrinkle injections treatments will become apparent. Skin smoothness in the treated areas will last for several months.

4 Months: Patients should undergo repeat treatment to maintain the results. Otherwise, lines and wrinkles will begin to return and appear as they did before treatment.

FAQ

Botulinum toxin will not leave you with a ‘frozen’ look if the product is injected in controlled amounts and the injections are administered by a qualified medical professional.

All treatments at Evermore produce aesthetically pleasing, natural-looking results.

Candidates should be physically healthy adults. You should also have no neuromuscular diseases or major health conditions, and should not be pregnant or breastfeeding. Any queries you may have can be discussed in your consultation.

Patients who have severe wrinkles on their forehead, brow or eye area may need anti-wrinkle treatments, whereas patients who have wrinkles in the mid or lower face, or who have skin volume loss should probably look at dermal fillers. Your clinician will recommend the best treatment for you after conducting a thorough assessment of your face and your goals, and may recommend either option, or both if that would obtain the optimal result for you.

In rare cases patients may experience unwanted short-term side effects such as allergic reactions, swelling, headaches, dry eyes, and dry mouth. Nonetheless, botulinum toxin has been deemed as a safe medical product for over 25 years and is most safe when administered by a qualified medical professional.

Anti-wrinkle injections treatments are effective on their own, but they may also be used in combination with other treatments to achieve a more significant change in appearance.

Some possible combinations include:

Dermal fillers

Microneedling

PRP Treatment

Skin Peels

Profhilo

The cost of Anti-wrinkle injections varies depending on the amount needed for the areas treated. This means that no two patients will cost the same amount, as the price is adjusted and optimised for your body. This will all be discussed at your consultation.

In the United Kingdom there are three brands of botulinum toxin in circulation. The most commonly known is Botox, and as this was the original product this is how botulinum toxin is commonly referred. The other two brands are Azzalure and Boccature. All three brands provide natural-looking, successful results, meaning that no brand is better than another and you can have confidence in whichever is used in your treatment.
