Warticon Cream & Solution is available as a cream or as a solution that is applied to the wart using a special applicator. It is important to follow the instructions provided by your doctor regarding how to use Warticon Cream & Solution.

How Does Warticon Cream and Solution Work?

Warticon is a topical therapy that is placed on and around the genitals to treat genital warts. Because genital warts are both caused by and maintained by the HPV, the active component targets not only the wart tissue but also the virus itself, thus leaving it unable to divide and spread. The symptoms go away as a result of the virus being unable to replicate, and the warts perish. Over time, wart tissue dies off and healthy tissue grows in its place.

Warnings

  • Warticon cream is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, or mouth. If contact occurs, flush the area thoroughly with water.
  • Do not use Warticon Cream if you are allergic to metronidazole or any of the other ingredients in the gel.
  • Before using Warticon cream inform your healthcare provider of any underlying medical conditions you have.
  • Inform your doctor of your pregnancy and breastfeeding status.
  • If irritation or sensitization develops, discontinue use and contact your healthcare provider.

Directions

  • Warticon Cream and Solution should be used as directed by your doctor. It is important to follow all instructions carefully.
  • The cream or solution is applied to the wart and left in place for about 24 hours. It is then washed off and a new application is then made the following day.
  • This treatment should be continued for up to 14 days.
  • It is important to apply the cream or solution evenly to the entire wart surface.
  • Be sure to allow the cream or solution to dry completely before covering the area with clothing.
  • If your wart does not disappear after this time, consult your doctor.

Ingredients

  • The active ingredient in Warticon cream is podophyllotoxin.
  • The inactive ingredients are stearyl alcohol, macrogol, Purified water, cetyl alcohol, phosphoric acid, sorbic acid, isopropyl myristate, butyl hydroxyanisole among others.
