Betamethasone with Clioquinol cream works by reducing inflammation and swelling, while also inhibiting the growth of bacteria. This helps to improve the appearance and health of the skin. Betamethasone is a corticosteroid that has anti-inflammatory effects. The skin can become inflamed as a result of an irritant or allergen. This triggers cells in the body to release chemicals that cause blood vessels near the surface of the skin to dilate. These inflammatory chemicals cause the skin to swell and itch, making it uncomfortable. Corticosteroids block the release of inflammatory-causing molecules, which reduces inflammation. Clioquinol works by preventing germs and fungus from developing and growing. This component is particularly significant in the treatment of skin since certain inflammatory skin diseases have a propensity to become infected. Directions
