Brevinor is an oral contraceptive pill. When used well, it provides almost 100% protection against pregnancy. Its main ingredients are norethisterone and ethinylestradiol, which prevent ovulation from taking place during the menstrual cycle. A monophasic combined pill, the Brevinor pill has an equal dose of norethisterone and ethinylestradiol. Brevinor may lessen acne and offer protection against medical conditions like fibroids, ovarian cysts, and pelvic inflammatory disease. However, it does not protect against sexually transmitted infections.

Description

Brevinor tablets are a type of hormonal contraception. They contain the hormone ethinylestradiol and the progestogen norethisterone. Brevinor tablets work by stopping ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary). They also thicken the mucus in the cervix, which makes it more difficult for sperm to travel through the cervix and reach the uterus (womb). They are taken every day to prevent pregnancy. Its other benefits include: a reduced risk of ovarian cyst, pelvic inflammation, and fibroids. However, it doesn’t prevent you from acquiring sexually transmitted infections.
