What Is Clarithrymocyin?

Clarithromycin treats certain bacterial infections, such as pneumonia, bronchitis, diseases of the ears, sinuses, skin, and throat. The prescription drug works well for tonsils but does not treat viral infections like a cough, cold, or flu.  Clarithromycin stops high temperatures, pain, and inflammation caused by tonsils by preventing the growth of bacteria. The treatment is an oral medication that comes as a capsule and a suspension liquid.

How Does Clarithrymocyin Work?

Clarithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic. It works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria. Without growing and multiplying, the bacteria strength is compromised. The symptoms such as a sore throat and chest infections therefore stop. Clarithromycin makes a patient feel better within the first few days of taking it. Ensure to complete the course. If you don’t, the bacteria will form a resistance to the infection and other antibiotics.

  • Have a low level of magnesium or potassium in your blood.

  • Are pregnant, planning to be pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Directions for Using Clarithrymocyin

Doctors prescribe Clarithromycin capsules to adults and the suspension to children. Follow the instructions below when using the treatment.
  • Shake the suspension well before each use to mix the medication evenly.
  • Swallow the long-acting tablets whole; do not split, chew, or crush them.
  • Take clarithromycin until you finish the prescription, even if you feel better.
  • In case you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the following amount, skip it. Do not overdose.

The active ingredient in the drug is clarithromycin. The drug also contains these inactive ingredients alginic acid, aspartame*, castor oil, citric acid anhydrous, colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, tutti frutti.
