Elleste Duet 1mg, 2mg and Conti Tablets are all prescription-only medications used to treat symptoms of menopause. They contain the hormone oestrogen, which is a natural substance that helps to control the menstrual cycle and prevent health problems associated with menopause, such as hot flashes and night sweats.

How Do Elleste Duet and Conti Tablets Work?

Elleste Duet 1mg, 2mg and Conti Tablets are hormone replacement therapy (HRT) treatments that work to reduce menopausal symptoms by replacing the hormones that are no longer being produced in the body. Menopausal symptoms occur due to a drop in the levels of estrogen and progesterone female hormones. Elleste Duet 1mg, 2mg and Conti tablets contain estradiol and norethisterone acetate hormones, which are a synthetic form of estrogen and progesterone female hormones. They replace the hormone levels in the body, thus reducing the symptoms experienced.

Warnings

  • Do not take the tablets if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without the approval of your doctor.

  • Do not take if you are taking any other medications, including over the counter medications and supplements without informing your doctor.

Directions

  • Always take the tablets as directed by your doctor to get the most benefit from the treatment.
  • Swallow one tablet whole with water once daily.
  • The dose can be taken at any time of day, but it is best to take it at the same time each day to maintain consistency.
  • If you miss a dose, you can take it as soon as you remember, unless it is close to the time for your next dose, in which case you should just skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Ingredients

  • The active ingredients contained in Elleste Duet are Estradiol and norethisterone acetate
  • The inactive ingredients include magnesium stearate, macrogol, talc, maize starch, povidone, lactose monohydrate, 400 and hypromellose.
  • 1mg tablets – titanium dioxide, indigo carmine, quinolone yellow.
  • 2mg tablets – sunset yellow, black iron oxide, titanium dioxide.
