How Does Eurax Cream Work?

Eurax cream contains the active ingredient crotamiton, which is a type of medication known as an antipruritic. Antipruritics work by preventing the release of chemicals in the body that can cause itching. Eurax cream works by disrupting the cell membranes of the parasites, which prevents their growth and reproduction, ultimately relieving the itching and irritation that is caused by these skin conditions.

Warnings

Directions

  • You must follow the directions given by your doctor.
  • When self-medicating, read the information provided on the product leaflet before using the medication.
  • Before using the medication, make sure to clean and dry your skin thoroughly.
  • Apply a small amount of Eurax cream to each area of the affected skin, and rub it in gently.
  • If you are using Eurax for the first time, start with one application per day and increase the frequency gradually as needed.
  • Do not rinse off the medication.
  • Eurax cream can be applied once or twice a day, depending on your doctor’s directive.
  • Store Eurax Cream at room temperature far from heat or moisture.

Ingredients

  • The active ingredient in Eurax Cream is Crotamiton.
  • The inactive ingredients are sodium lauryl sulphate, stearic acid, methyl hydroxybenzoate, glycerol, phenyl ethyl, ethylene glycol monostearate, triethanolamine, stearyl alcohol, hard paraffin, strong ammonia solution, perfume, and purified water.
