Description

What is Loceryl 5% Nail Lacquer?

Loceryl 5% Nail Lacquer is an antimicrobial lacquer that is used to treat onychomycosis, a fungal infection of the nails. It works by killing the fungus that causes the infection. Loceryl can be used to treat any type of onychomycosis, including nail infections that are resistant to other treatments. It is available as both nail lacquer and an oral tablet.

How Does loceryl Work?

It's impossible to cure an infected nail; instead, you need to treat the nail to prevent the infection from spreading while the diseased nail grows out. Loceryl nail lacquer contains the active component amorolfine, an antifungal medication that destroys the fungus that causes nails to grow infections. The amorolfine is absorbed directly onto the infected nails after Loceryl is painted on top. It then stops the fungus from generating ergosterol, a chemical that causes fungal cells to shatter and die. Over time, the diseased nail is replaced with a healthy one as a result of this treatment.
