It contains 2 hormones estradiol and Norethisterone acetate, which are similar to the hormones produced by a woman's body estrogen and progestin. These hormones work together to control the changes in your body that happen during menopause, as well as relieving the symptoms that accompany menopause.

Directions

  • Novofem should be used as prescribed by a healthcare professional.
  • Novofem comes in the form of a tablet that is taken by mouth.
  • Novofem is usually taken once a day, but your doctor may prescribe it to be taken twice a day.
  • Take the tablet at the same time every day with plenty of water.
  • Novofem can be taken with or without food.
  • If you miss a dose of Novofem, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.

Ingredients

  • The active ingredient in Novofem are estradiol and 1mg of norethisterone acetate
  • The inactive ingredients include maize starch, propylene glycol, lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide, red iron oxide and magnesium stearate
