What Are Ovranette Tablets?
Ovranette tablets are a type of oral contraceptive pill that is used to prevent pregnancy. The tablets contain a combination of two hormones - oestrogen and progestogen - which work together to stop the ovaries from releasing eggs. Ovranette is also effective in regulating your menstrual cycle and can help to treat heavy and painful periods. You should speak to your doctor if you are considering using Ovranette, as they will be able to advise you on the best course of action for you.
How Does Ovranette Work?
Ovranette is a combined oral contraceptive pill (COCP) that contains ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel. These work to prevent an egg from being released from the ovaries each month (ovulation). The pills also make the mucus in the cervix thicker, which makes it more difficult for sperm to travel through and reach an egg. If sperm can't reach an egg, fertilization can't occur. Additionally, Ovranette also changes the lining of the uterus, making it less likely that a fertilized egg will implant.
